COODU is an empanelled NGO by the Department of Drinking Water and Sanitation, Government of Tamil Nadu, and has been actively engaged in implementing CCDU (Communication and Capacity Development Unit) and Jal Jeevan Mission (JJM) activities across 8 districts of Tamil Nadu. Targeted Interventions (TI) for HIV/AIDS Prevention in Krishnagiri and Coimbatore Districts

Project Overview: COODU worked on targeted interventions in Krishnagiri and Coimbatore Districts to prevent HIV/AIDS among high-risk groups, including female sex workers, MSM, transgender individuals, and migrants. Key Achievements: Covered 112 hotspots in six blocks, conducting awareness and testing programs.Engaged 1,201 female sex workers, 28 MSM, and 43 transgender individuals.Conducted STI and HIV testing for 3,893 individuals.Distributed over 300,000 condoms through free and social marketing initiatives.Organized 6900+ community engagement events, legal awareness programs, and health camps. TANSACS - Link Workers Scheme (LWS) for HIV/AIDS Prevention (Ongoing)

Project Overview: COODU, in partnership with Tamil Nadu State AIDS Control Society (TANSACS), implemented the Link Workers Scheme (LWS) in Dharmapuri District to prevent and manage HIV/AIDS among high-risk populations.
