Flora & Fauna Study for Noyyal and Raja Vaikkal River Basin Conservation

Project Overview: COODU collaborated with the Water Resources Department to conduct an ecological study on the Noyyal and Raja Vaikkal irrigation systems within the Cauvery Basin.

 

Key Findings:

  • Identified critical biodiversity hotspots requiring conservation efforts.
  • Recommended sustainable land and water management practices.
  • Suggested community participation models for long-term conservation.

Impact:

  • Strengthened conservation policies for river basin sustainability.
  • Increased stakeholder engagement in biodiversity protection.

TANSACS - Link Workers Scheme (LWS) for HIV/AIDS Prevention (Ongoing)

Project Overview: COODU, in partnership with Tamil Nadu State AIDS Control Society (TANSACS), implemented the Link Workers Scheme (LWS) in Dharmapuri District to prevent and manage HIV/AIDS among high-risk populations.
