Project Overview: COODU, with the support of HDB Financial Services, implemented a watershed development project in Kinathukadavu Block, Coimbatore District, focusing on rainwater harvesting and soil conservation.Key Activities: Construction of essential community infrastructure, including toilets and retaining walls. L&T Ltd – Conservation and Restoration of Water Bodies & Biodiversity Promotion

Larsen & Toubro (L&T) partnered with COODU for the conservation and restoration of the Malumichampatti watershed in Madukkarai block, covering 1,597 hectares. Project Components: Baseline survey and assessment. Formation of watershed committees and user groups. Desilting of water channels (20,400 CuM) and percolation tanks. Renovation of two check dams and construction of a new check dam. ITC MSK (CSR) Water Stewardship Programme - Climate Smart Agriculture & Demand Management Initiatives

Project Overview: In partnership with ITC Ltd. under its "Mission Sunehra Kal" CSR initiative, launched in 2015. COODU implemented 'Climate Smart Agriculture and Management Initiatives' in the Upper Bhavani River Basin (Karamadai Block, Coimbatore District). The initiative spanned across 24 micro watersheds covering seven Village Panchayats under "Water Stewardship Programme". Key Achievements: Introduction of organic farming, agroforestry, and precision farming to enhance agricultural resilience. Establishment of 150 demonstration plots for Coconut, Banana, and Curry Leaf crops. Training and capacity building for 3,850 farmers on climate-smart agricultural practices.
