Project Components:

  • Baseline survey and assessment.
  • Formation of watershed committees and user groups.
  • Desilting of water channels (20,400 CuM) and percolation tanks.
  • Renovation of two check dams and construction of a new check dam.
  • Plantation of 25 tree varieties to control soil erosion.

Impact:

  • Increased water retention and groundwater recharge.
  • Improved agricultural output and environmental sustainability.
  • Formation of water user groups and student groups for long-term sustainability.

 

The project cost ₹24.69 lakh and has directly benefited farmers and communities by increasing water availability and ensuring better watershed management.
