Project Overview: COODU, in partnership with Tamil Nadu State AIDS Control Society (TANSACS), implemented the Link Workers Scheme (LWS) in Dharmapuri District to prevent and manage HIV/AIDS among high-risk populations.

Key Achievements:

  • Conducted awareness programs for 10,000+ individuals, including female sex workers, MSM, transgender individuals, and migrants.
  • Organized 100+ village-level meetings and advocacy sessions to reduce stigma.
  • Conducted 9,880 new HIV/AIDS registrations and provided testing services for 5,574 individuals.
  • Distributed 28,795 free condoms and 1,770 social marketing condoms to promote safe practices.
  • Organized medical camps for sexually transmitted infection (STI) screenings and treatment.

Targeted Interventions (TI) for HIV/AIDS Prevention in Krishnagiri and Coimbatore Districts

Project Overview: COODU worked on targeted interventions in Krishnagiri and Coimbatore Districts to prevent HIV/AIDS among high-risk groups, including female sex workers, MSM, transgender individuals, and migrants.
