Water for a Resilient Future: Project Completion & New Launch in Coimbatore 

L&T Precision Engineering and Systems, Coimbatore, in collaboration with COODU Organisation, is proud to announce the successful completion of the “Strengthening of Water Bodies in Malumichampatti” project, implemented in the Madukkarai Block from 2021 to March 2025.

This CSR-driven initiative revitalized critical water structures, empowered farming communities, and improved climate resilience. The project was rooted in community participation, ecological sustainability, and scientific planning.

🔍 Key Interventions & Achievements:
✅ 2 new check dams constructed in Avvai Nagar
✅ 6 existing check dams renovated in Avvai Nagar, VG Nagar, Prakash Nagar & Malumichampatti
✅ Desilting of channels and ponds across 5 streams, improving capacity by 1,30,525 kiloliters
✅ Trench cum bunds covering 11,310 m³ and 10 well recharge units installed
✅ 6,225 native trees and 10,000 palm seeds planted on common and school lands
✅ Soil and water testing on 50 farms and well inventory in 20 wells
✅ Water holding capacity increased from 1,41,855 to 1,62,555 m³
✅ 14 ft rise in groundwater level, verified by well inventory
✅ Community-led initiatives like formation of Water User Groups (WUGs) and watershed committees
